Provide match funds for 123 non-profits in RUN FOR THE MONEY 8.The Community Foundation of Gaston County/ Run for the Money 8

RUN FOR THE MONEY 8 is a matching grant oppportunity.  123 non-profits in our county raise money for their programs during a 2 month period by reaching out to donors.  The event culminates with a 5K Run and 2K walk, karaoke contest, non-profit booths and fun on SATURDAY, APRIL 17, 2010.  Runners can win addtional prize money for their non-profits by being the fastest in their age catagories.  *RUN FOR THE MONEY is in its 8th year.*RUN FOR THE MONEY has raised $7.8 million from  individuals and corporate donor for non-profits during the past seven years.*1,000 runners and walkers and 5,000 spectators are expected on April 17.* The Gaston Gazette is an in-kind sponsor with coverage several times each week during the 2 months of RUN FOR THE MONEY.
