Overview
230-250 more educators/school staff trained in intervention and 1,610-2,250 students being directly contacted by the program. This program aligns with Arizona Department of Education standards in Comprehensive Health Care, Education, and Public Safety and the Federal Response to Intervention, Individuals With Disabilities Education Act IDEA, 2004. Implementation of MSAP, schools identify and implement programs that assist in the improvement of literacy among School Students, and generally improve their quality of life. Arizona ranks 39 (out of 50 states and DC): 16-19 year olds who are school dropouts, 41 (142,200); Juvenile violent crime arrest rate, 37 (2,554); 35 youth arrested daily; Youth in Daily Custody, 1,737; Teen death rate by accident, homicide and suicide, 40, and 1,590 children die each year.
