Overview

Coordinating with Houston area vets, I would assist the many groups needingto treat dogs with heartworms. Houston is a huge dog city in a warm climate, producing the mosquitos creating the fatal heartworm problem. It is the number one market for the treatment drug Immiticide. Each vet can order the drug. I have been doing this on a smaller scale for 11 years and many vets are willing to help. They will not charge for office visits or anything else; if something unusual came up, the group would be responsible for any extra charges. Each bottle treats only 22 lbs so many groups cannot afford it, especially in the current economy. This would be not only beneficial to the dogs, but also lessens landfill impact and the psychological boost given to overburdened volunteers would be indescribable.I can provide numerous vet references. None of the pictured dogs below would be alive without donated Immiticide

How will the 5K be Used?

Budget Notes: nothing else will be purchased or paid for with these funds.
$ 5,000 to purchase Immiticide
