Overview
Homespun will be the only retail store in Indiana that specializes in modern handmade goods, providing working artist with a year-round brick and mortar outlet for their goods. From clothing to jewelry to bath & body products, the store will be stocked with an array of stylish goods made by people in the city, state, and beyond. The store will also offer low-cost art classes and serve as a meeting place for the Hoosier handmade community. It will serve as a meeting point for the Hoosier handmade community. It will be private enterprise for the public good.
The store is an outgrowth of the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange, a popular bi-annual craft fair that features handmade vendors from the city, state and beyond. Our hope is that it will serve as a retail anchor in the Irvington neighborhood and help spur commercial redevelopment along E. Washington St.
