Goals
- To provide 4,000 low income families with professional eyecare
Pictures
Overview
There are 65,000 low income children living in the Utah, who have moderate to severe eye problems. They desperately need routine, professional eyecare. These bright, eager children do not receive this critical care because their families are not insured, underinsured and just plainly can not afford to provide these vital services to their children. We see dozens of children weekly who can’t see to read a book or see their teachers as they stand at the front of the classroom and deliver their prepared lessons. Can you imagine growing up without being able to see well enough to read a book? Or growing up without the images and visions of adventures that form in our mind from reading the great books that are here to enjoy in childhood? During these difficult economic times we help extended our services to help adults as well. There are many adults who can’t be employed or who can’t work effectively because they can’t see adequately.
