- Invigorate localized non-profit organizations with new strategies
- Promote those organizations outside of their local community
- enlarge donor/volunteer base for those organizations with new tools
- Use SocMedia to promote & get others to be involved in their community
Overview
The "Invigorate The Community" project uses social media and new technology to invigorate local non-profit organizations without a national organization supporting them.
A group of 4 students will spend their summer driving across the USA, promoting their stops through social media and increasing the volunteers/donations for each stop. While at the stops, the students will be volunteering and teaching the organization how new technology can benefit them and their message, and by making it easier to get donations and volunteers.
Students will also shoot video for each organization and will edit for the organization to use as a promotional tool (something local NPOs struggle with).

| Budget Notes: 'Emergency Money' was placed there in case we run across any extreme situations where an organization needs money for something asap, of if the car has car problems, etc. My hope is for Apple and Flip to give us discounts, which would allow us to increase the number of organizations we can go to. | |
