Overview
The 4K for Cancer's 2010 Growth Initiative aspires to expand the organization's mission of spreading awareness, raising funds, and fostering hope. By creating two new trips with two new routes in 2011, riders will reach out to new communities, educating groups about early detection and cancer prevention, and spreading our message of hope. We also expect to generate an additional $250,000 in donations, which will go to support the American Cancer Society's Baltimore Hope Lodge, as well as the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. The Growth Initiative provides for the hire of a full-time Executive Director, who will head recruitment and training efforts, and be the logistical lynchpin of the organization.
Deliverables:
- Recruit and train 90 riders for 3 cross-country trips.
- Plan two new routes from Baltimore to San Francisco.
- $375,000 in donations from riders, each required to raise a minimum of $4,500.
- $100,000 in corporate donations.
